The marathon 2008 elections are over. 2010 is now upon us. The coming of summer has brought with it the unpleasant news that Tim Eyman's latest nefarious plan to throw monkey wrenches into the gears of our state, Initiative 1053, will likely qualify for the ballot. NWroots users are encouraged to learn more about 1053 and the other four right wing initiatives slated to appear on this year's ballot by visiting StopGreed.org, a project dedicated to exposing the corporate fronts trying to make a quick buck by conning the people of Washington State into voting for ill-conceived initiatives that would weaken or privatize public services.
The Northwest Progressive Institute is pleased to announce that Sound Transit boardmember Julie Anderson, a city councilmember from Tacoma, will talk about the need to invest in rapid transit and the status of Sound Transit 2 at the NWroots Conference this weekend.
John Ladenburg and Peter Goldmark, the Democratic nominees for Attorney General and Commissioner of Public Lands, respectively, are set to host question and answer sessions at the third annual NWroots Conference this weekend in Tacoma, WA. Goldmark and Ladenburg will discuss the status of their campaigns, talk about why they're running, and listen to your feedback.
